Dec. 21st 2015 – WINTER SAINT JOHN FESTIVAL

Traditionally, the Fraternity of the Lodge “Wisdom” held a ritual feast according to the rite of the Scottish Order in honor of St. John. This special Ritual Work, which is performed in the Temple at the table, is a symbolic marking of the winter solstice, which dates back to the pre-Christian era. With this ceremony, the Works are closed and the Brothers go on vacation, until the beginning of the summer semester when the construction sites will reopen. This extremely impressive Work, on which the first of seven toasts was addressed to the homeland of Serbia, was led by Brother V.K. The celebration of the “winter” Saint John was magnified by the presence of the Grand Master and Grand Officers of the GLS, as well as guests from other federal Lodges.
