On December 27th 2020, the traditional Feast of winter St. John was held. According to established practice, the Feast was organized by the Honorable Lodge “Wisdom”, in honor of St. John, at the time when the winter Solstice is celebrated.
During the winter semester 2020, the Grand Lodge of Serbia reconstructed the premises in which the Club is located, where the Freemasonic Brothers gather before and after the Ritual and Conference Works, and in which thematic discussions on various topics are held, so this year’s Feast of winter St. John was held in a completely renovated environment.
Considering that it is about the Ritual Work, which is also called Agape, and which takes place at the Table with food and drink, the organizers have prepared a rich selection of services.
The Ritual Work was attended by the Most Worshipful Grand Master and Grand Officers of the GLS, as well as Brothers from other Respected Lodges, and was led by the Officers of the Respected Lodge “Wisdom”. The Feast of winter St. John is a Ritual Work that the Freemason Brothers from GLS carry out every year with special pleasure, because this Work is based on one of the most beautiful Rituals of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, so it was the same on this occasion as before.
Considering that Saint John the Winter coincides with the Winter Solstice, after which the Works in the Winter Semester ends, at the Feast the Most Worshipful Grand Master GLS marked the end of the Works for the winter semester of 2020.
After the end of the Feast, the Brothers continued to socialize at the Agape in conversation, socializing and in a cheerful mood, with the desire to continue strengthening the Fraternal Chain in the next year and next Semester, on the way to the Truth and Light of each Brother, the Fatherland and society as a whole.
